According to him, he supports the happiness of people.
Alden starred in a Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “Family of Two” with Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
"Ang iniisip ko nga minsan kapag may ganong mga rumors, 'Wala na bang iba?'”
Wala pang isinasapublikong naging nobya si Alden, kahit maraming nali-link sa kanyang aktres na nakatrabaho niya.
Dahilan ito para intrigahin at pag-isipan ng kung anu-ano ang kanyang sekswalidad.
Isa sa mga aktres na na-link kay Alden ay ang dati niyang ka-love team na si Maine Mendoza na ngayo'y asawa na ni Arjo Atayde.

ALDEN RICHARDS – The Asia’s Multimedia Star recently gave a reaction about the rumors about his gender identity.
The actor appeared in Toni Gonzaga’s “Toni Talks” episode titled “What Alden Is Tired Hearing About”.

The actor said he and Maine never got married and don’t have a love child, adding that he’s at the point where he wouldn’t stop AlDub fans from posting if it brought them happiness. Richards is also set for a busy year ahead, featuring in GMA’s major historical drama “Pulang Araw,” alongside co-stars Sanya Lopez, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco.
Alden shared that he no longer answers rumors because he’s contended with his life and he’s “perfectly happy” with what he has and what he’s able to do at the moment.
During the interview, he was asked about the rumors that were attacked against him.
One of those rumors was about him and his former loveteam partner Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza. He has been involved in notable projects, including starring roles in “Five Breakups and A Romance” with Julia Montes and “Family of Two” with Sharon Cuneta.
Richards pointed out the ease with which people judge a celebrity’s sexual orientation, especially in cases where male celebrities are not publicly in relationships. I’m a [people] pleaser, sobra, by all means.
